Linchpin SEO started in Raleigh, NC by two guys (Bill Ross and Dan Therrien) who believe that small businesses should have the same opportunities as large national brands, without the need of multi-million dollar budgets.
Linchpin SEO has since opened locations in Chicago, IL and Syracuse, NY where they do SEO, web design, and content creation for small and medium size businesses.
They have helped businesses build websites in easy-to-use content management systems, execute local SEO and social media campaigns, write content, and build a local content strategies that include video, traditional content pieces, and infographics to drive traffic and sales.

Highbeam.com is a large article archive consisting of a wide variety of publications dating back to the 1980′s. This expansive archive contains over 70 million articles from journals, magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, and encyclopedias.
The SEO for this large content website had its challenges such as indexation level and content management. The KPIs for a site of this size differ slightly from traditional websites (which focus on mid and head term optimization), to focusing on the long tail and increasing indexation of the vast amount of content.
We restructured the complete archive to allow metrics to flow deeper into the site. This resulted in an increase in indexation rate and a 400% increase in traffic.

Thrive Med Spa Chicago Thrive Medical Spa, based in Chicago, IL, has two convenient downtown locations in Lakeview (River North) and the Gold Coast. They are privately owned and operated by Dr. Barry Summers, a Board Certified General & Cosmetic Surgeon.
We worked with them to do an initial analysis and SEO audit. This led to a site migration from their old hosting to our new hosting platform. We will also be working on bringing their website up-to-date with a new design, creating valuable content and marketing their site online.

We took-on many of their websites and defined both onsite and offsite SEO strategies to help increase visibility in the search results. At Encyclopedia.com, you get free access to nearly 200,000 reference entries from sources you can cite. Plus, more than 50,000 topic summaries feature related pictures, videos, topic summaries, and newspaper and magazine articles from around the world.
We focused on organizing and condensing their wide variety of content into “topic pages” that focused on mid and head terms to compete with sites such as Wikipedia. We also added modifiers to the title tags of the website which resulted in a 30% lift in traffic. The challenge was sorting through the vast number of duplicate entries across all the different encyclopedias they had in their library.
Motherway & Napleton
Motherway and Napleton, is a top rated personal injury law firm in Chicago. They focus on civil litigation, personal injury, tort, and medical malpractice.
We helped them create a website that they could use to compete locally in the search results. We build them a blog on the popular WordPress CMS to give them the ability to add recent law firm announcements and case updates. We also helped them optimize their Google Places listing to compete in Google Local search.
Questia Books
Questia is the first online library that provides 24/7 access to the world’s largest online collection of books and journal articles in the humanities and social sciences, plus magazine and newspaper articles. You can search each and every word of all of the books and journal articles in the collection.
We helped them organize and optimize their vast library of online books to help increase user metrics and rankings. The biggest challenge was their primary competitor was Google Books, so we modeled many of the strategies around competitive info to help level the playing field and increase subscriptions.
